University-level scholarships

Criteria

To be considered for a university-level scholarship as a first-year student:

  • Your application materials (Common Application plus an official high school transcript) must be received by the Office of Admissions by Nov. 1.

Award notifications

Students who apply by Nov. 1 will be notified by the beginning of April of any scholarship offers. Recipients are selected based on academic merit. Leadership, community service and artistic talent (when applicable) also may be considered.

All applicants seeking scholarship consideration are encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarship conditions

Merit-based scholarships cover in-state costs only. If you get a four-year scholarship, it’s renewable for up to three consecutive years if you complete at least 28 credit hours on a full-time basis over the fall and spring semesters and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better.

Additional scholarship awards may be offered by the Office of Admissions to students to recognize their academic achievements, leadership efforts or other personal attributes.
