Fall 2026 deadlines

First-year deadlines

• March 15, 2026: Extended first-year application deadline; Guaranteed University Admission deadline (passed; rolling admissions now open)
  
  • Guaranteed University Admission deadline: VCU offers guaranteed university admission to most programs for first-year applicants who have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher. Please note, the School of the Arts has major-specific requirements and applicants are not eligible for Guaranteed University Admission. 
• Jan. 15, 2026: First-year regular decision application deadline
  
  • Applicants who submitted their application and all necessary materials by the first-year regular decision deadline of Jan. 15 are guaranteed a decision by April 1. 
    
    
• Nov. 1, 2025: First-year scholarship deadline
  
  • All incoming first-year students who applied to VCU by Nov. 1 were considered for university-level scholarships.

Transfer deadline

• March 15, 2026: Transfer deadline (passed; rolling admissions now open)
  
  • Transfer applicants who submitted their application and all necessary application materials by March 15 are guaranteed a decision by May 1.

Readmission deadline

• March 15, 2026: Readmission deadline (passed; rolling admissions now open)

Fall 2026 response deadlines

Students accepted for fall 2026: Respond by May 1 if you were accepted to the university by April 1. If accepted after April 1, respond within two weeks of your acceptance.
