National Speech & Debate Association tournament participants:
We can't wait to welcome you to Richmond and VCU!

Are you competing in the 2026 National Speech & Debate Tournament? If so, you and your family are invited to step onto VCU's campus while you're in Richmond for a one-of-a-kind walking tour, designed just for you. Three departure times are available for tours on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

An urban campus unlike any other

Virginia Commonwealth University sits right in the heart of Richmond, and these tours are built especially for students and families attending the National Speech & Debate Tournament.

Join a one-hour walking tour through our vibrant Monroe Park campus, kicking off from VCU's University Student Commons  — a short walk from the Altria Theater where tournament finals will take place. You'll experience the energy of student life, see popular spots and get a real feel for what makes VCU uncommon.

Complimentary parking will be available at the West Main Street Deck at 801 W. Main Street. VCU staff will validate parking for tour participants.

Please note, tours are mostly outdoors and do not include residence hall interiors. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in Office of Admissions-led events and/or tours.

Tours available June 18, 2026

Three tour times are available exclusively for tournament participants. Select the option that works best with your competition schedule, and be sure to register yourself and any guests.

Can't make a tour? Visit us at the Expo!

Stop by the VCU Expo table from 12–4 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center during tournament check-in. VCU staff will be on site to answer your questions and give away some Ram-worthy goodies. Ready to learn more about VCU?
