Please note, registration is limited to admitted students. To register for Preview Day, you must be admitted to VCU and log in to your applicant portal to sign up for your selected date. Once you sign up, add the number of guests you plan to bring with you!

Preview Day highlights

Even if you've visited VCU's campus before, Preview Day provides something a little different!

During Preview Day, you will:

  • Spend the morning with your academic area
  • Tour a room in one of our residence halls
  • Be able to accept your offer of admission on-site and register early for Orientation
  • Connect with our admitted students and their families

Event schedule

8 - 8:45 a.m.: Check-in (various locations on campus)
Check in directly with your academic department at the VCU school or college you were accepted into. Spend the morning connecting with faculty, staff and students in your learning community.

8:45 - 11 a.m.: Academic departmental sessions (various locations on campus; session end times vary)

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Student life sessions
Learn about study abroad, summer studies, our Honors College and more! You'll also have a chance to tour residence halls, learn about Orientation and connect with admissions counselors.

Note: The street address for this building is 401 W. Main St., but event check-in is at the 401 W. Cary St. entrance.

College of Humanities and Sciences, College of Health Professions, and School of Pharmacy

  • March 22 event: Check-in and morning sessions will take place at the Altria Theater (6 N. Laurel Street), located right next to VCU's Monroe Park Campus. The theater is just a short walk from VCU parking decks, the Student Commons and other campus buildings where afternoon Preview Day sessions will be held.

  • April 4 event: Check-in and morning sessions will be held at the Stuart C. Siegel Center at 1200 W. Broad St.
